if there is a requirement like , you need to show some values dynamicaaly for every span of interval ,
in that case , this af:poll component works superbly.
in this af:poll component , we need to mention the values like
poll Listener : < a method biniding> (if you want to execute an action for every poll time).
interval time : < value in milli seconds >
so denpending on the interval time , the method binding will execute and update the values in UI / Backing Bean / AM . e.t.c where ever you want depending on your requirement.
some times partial triggers on this poll component won't work , and mainly outputText component won't work , on that time , surround that components with any panel group and programatically execute the parital trigger on that .
sample code :
AdfFacesContext adfContext = AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
adfContext.addPartialTarget(this.panelGroup); // not only panel group what ever the component you want to update in UI.
